Your thoughts are everything…
“Watch your thoughts, they become words;
watch your words, they become actions;
watch your actions, they become habits;
watch your habits, they become character;
watch your character, for it becomes your destiny.”
I love that quote above because it is SO true. I remember hearing that for the first time when I was really young, probably in my early to mid teens. I also remember thinking.. “they are just thoughts, how can they posibly have a physical effect on my life in any way?!”.
You might say, com’on Ryan, you were just a teenager, teens don’t think about much anyway! Well I would agree to a certain level, but just think to yourself how many grown adults STILL think this way. Many do not believe that thoughts, feelings emotions are PHYSICAL in this world.
Failure consciousness:
I understand that some really bad things happen to us in life. Many times, bad stuff happens we cant control. The bad stuff that happenswe CAN control also screws with our brain because we feel like we could have done something about it.
Either way, these situations cause us to consciously (more importantly subconsciously) build a track record of failure in our minds. This leads us to have a “failure consciousness” over time, assume failure and develop negative self talk.
Success consciousness:
Some people are by nature, more positive than other depending on how they were brought up and their personality. However, anyone can learn to develop a success consciousness.
If negativity comes up in your life, you need to realistically asses the situation and be in non-resistance to it.
You need to only allow thoughts and feelings that will HELP you in the direction you want to go. This means to consciously delete/eliminate/destroy/(any other words for remove) any thoughts or emotions that arise that do NOT help you. Never, ever allow your mind to dwell on negativity, even for 1 second.
Practicing this over time will develop your “success consciousness muscles”. Building these muscles will attract more positive people and outcomes into your life (see more info about the law of attraction). Not only will you attract more positive people and situations into your life but this will also help you build a track record of positivity and success. Building a track record for positivity and success will give you the confidence to overcome almost any negativity or failure thoughts!
