Levels of awareness..
There are different levels of consciousness and awareness in life. These different levels play an important role in the way people view the world around them.
These 3 levels of awareness are, Self, Group and Global.
Self:
People in the first level of awareness (self) are only aware of their needs and wants. They think the world revolves around them, their needs, wants and beliefs. Self awareness is most common in young children, however, unfortunately is also found is many adults.
A quick example of this is when a small child starts crying on an airplane with no regard for the people around them. Its not that they know much better, anyway, but they also believe that the world revolves around their wants and needs.
Group:
The second level of awareness is group or community. People at this level typically relate with others that are in the same social circle, religious organization, certain cliques in school or the workplace. When these folks come in contact with others that are outside of their group or circle, they cannot relate and/or are not open to other viewpoints
Global:
People that reach the global level of awareness understand that there are many beliefs, viewpoints and needs in the world that are outside of them or “their world” of influence. Instead of having your own cynical beliefs and viewpoints about the world or religious beliefs, you understand that there are many viewpoints and beliefs in the world and you see the beauty within the diversity.
